Jay, you’re darn tootin’ about Bach’s near-infinite transcribability. As I used to point out during my public radio career, his music uniquely thrives on whatever arrangement or derangement you can throw at it. And Kevin, you should check out the work of my friend Peter Blanchette, who plays a self-invented instrument called the archguitar, which combines the guitar with features of the Baroque lute. He plays some damned good Bach.
