Norman Podhoretz is a name I had some vague notion of for all of my adult life. He was the editor of Commentary, a (the?) leader of the Neo-Conservative political “movement”, and the father of the inimitable John P., a man I’ve admired for many years. The 2/3 of an hour I listened in on a conversation between Mr. Podhoretz and his friend Jay was time exceedingly well spent. Thank you, sirs. I’m going to phone my Dad now.
