Lucretia hosts this week’s episode, reminding us once again that Republicans are living up to their reputation as “the stupid party” with the proposed “Anti-Semitism Awareness Act” that seems to have overlooked this quaint old thing called the First Amendment. Steve gamely tries to defend the political strategy behind it, but Lucretia is having none of it (putting her in rare alignment with the New York Times), wondering why anyone would want to distract attention away from Democrats tieing themselves in electoral hangman’s knots over the anti-Semitism raging wild inside their party and their wholly-owned subsidiary college campuses. Republicans ought to impose a gag order on themselves, and crusade against the gag order on Trump in his current trial in New York. Concerning which, John has several observations.
And about that campus scene: another week, and another data point for Steve’s thesis that “it’s going to get worse before it gets worse.” About the only sensible conclusion is that somewhere in the Great Beyond, Tom Wolfe is behind the whole current scene. Maybe we can still get a sequel from him, Bonfire of the Inanities.

Great episode! Lucretia was right on the mark when she talked about her all-time favorite justice (Ketanji) fretting over the First Amendment as if it were designed to protect the government against the citizens. I had not heard anyone else point that out. She also made a great point that Miranda and Exclusionary Rule are not in the Constitution but the right to a speedy trial is. In other words, she dunked on John. :)
I hope John at least knows about the Palestinian flag replacing the American flag at Harvard and the John Harvard statue being covered in a keffiyeh. Staff rescued both.
As for MSNBC, when Al Sharpton is the voice of reason, you know it’s over.
Lastly, interesting choice of “No Love Lost” for the exit, though it was ranked as only the 44th best Joy Division song by the Guardian.
I wondered if anyone would pick up on the exit music! Bonus points for you.
I’m waiting for some enterprising Mayor to take a cue from Muriel Bowser and paint JLM (Jewish Lives Matter) down the middle of the street. I’ll not hold my breath.’
During the Floyd Riots, the MSM played up the toxic White Guilt angle and so one ran the risk of being labeled a RACIST!! the second any utterance damning the violence —the chaos, mayhem, arson and destruction . Today, in the protected ‘Hamas Villages’ we don’t have the ‘luxury’ of color as an obvious marker …and…it’s just Jews who are being targeted anyway.
So far, the leader of Fordham University may have the formula….as soon as ‘students’ started to pitch tents in the lobby of one campus building, she polled the Trustees and they agreed that the second the mission of the University was being interfered with got the OK to go to the NYPD and SIMULTANEOUSLY let it be known that #1-the cops WERE on the way and #2-any students who did not get out were looking at immediate suspension or expulsion.
Fordham became a 5-6 hour story.
Well, Lucretia shocked me today, and no mistake with what she said. I’ll quote it here for posterity:
I demand a drug screen.
Remy did a great video about cultural appropriation.
Is this John or Steve?
