Kavanaugh had taken the official oath of office on October 6, immediately following his confirmation 50-48 by the Senate.

Bad sign: Kavanagh boasts of having selected a staff of all female law clerks to work with him at the Supreme Court.
Good sign: Like Clarence Thomas before him, after being savaged by the Left he is unlikely to drift in their direction, as so many other Justices have done.
His speech would have been better if he had ended it with a resounding chorus of Tom T. Hall’s song, “I Like Beer.”
