Love this podcast, Mona and Jay are national treasures.
Love you both but , please, please, Mona, there is no need to preface criticism of another country with, ‘we have plenty wrong here too’ . It’s another case of us buying into the leftist terminology and mind set, of using our own sense of fairness as a weapon against us. Have you ever heard a leftist criticize a communist country? Ever? Even Pol Pot’s Cambodia? For the most part the 100 million dead are simply down the memory hole, never to be mentioned. while we continue to apologize for Slavery, Jim Crow , Japanese Internment etc etc , yadda yadda.
I can’t bear it when people call the Clintons good liars. You are NOT a good liar if everyone knows you are telling lies. That means you are a bad liar. The definition of a good lie is one that you fool people with, since that is the purpose of a lie.
I do love their assessment of Obama’s personality…”the execrable Obama,” “… vulgar, crass, demagogic,” “vain, prickly, obnoxious.” It is such a soothing litany of truth.
Please, Mrs. Charen, it’s not “the Obama Administration’s push for Green Energy”, it’s “the Obama Administration’s deranged obsession with inefficient and unprofitable failed Green Energy companies.”
