Merry Christmas, Guys. Thanks.
Syria is not a problem we can manage. The Syria conflict is the edge of the ongoing Islamic 30 years war that only the Islamic world can settle. Everything we do is a waste of time.
The only thing our intervention in Syria has done is prevent an end to the civil war that destroyed what was once a country.
How much education does it take to be so foolish?
I have no idea how the average person is supposed to understand the Flynn case.
I wonder if David French will admit his error if, in fact, Russia, Syria, Turkey, the Kurds and Saudi Arabia manage to keep ISIS in check.
The casualty rate, no matter how low, will be zero going forward. There’s only one way to maintain that rate, and Trump just did it.
“I don’t get the justification.” — David French
Yeah, he does not get a lot of things. Frankly, we do not have to justify not using US troops as much as we have to justify using them. It is not clear how staying around in Syria makes a big difference in the outcome in the end.
Who exactly is our ally in the region? Syria? I don’t think so. The Obama administration was looking for allies and had to generate them. They did not pre-exist. Our mission was to defeat ISIS in Syria. They are largely defeated and cornered. Mission Accomplished. Come home.
I have faith in Trump’s decision. French does not. His suspicions mean zero. Trump is President. He is not.
Oh my god, how dare we disagree with David French?
