Re the DH – I am generally anti-DH because I think it’s ludicrous that pitchers “can’t” hit. (Many) pitchers make millions of dollars a year and have five or six days off per week. Would it kill them to grab a bat and take a few swings in the cage once in awhile? Sheesh.
Don’t listen unless you are a Mets fan. Got pretty boring for me especially in the second half.
Astros all the way!
DeGrom as Cy Young. Consider the 1972 Philadelphia Phillies. They were a dreadful team, they finished last in the NL East with a 59-97 record. Now look at Steve Carlton’s record for that year:
W 27 L 10 ERA 1.97 GS 41 CG 30 IP 346.1 K 310 BB 87 WAR 12.1
The shift. George Brett would have killed it.
