    Re the DH – I am generally anti-DH because I think it’s ludicrous that pitchers “can’t” hit. (Many) pitchers make millions of dollars a year and have five or six days off per week. Would it kill them to grab a bat and take a few swings in the cage once in awhile? Sheesh.

    DeGrom as Cy Young. Consider the 1972 Philadelphia Phillies. They were a dreadful team, they finished last in the NL East with a 59-97 record. Now look at Steve Carlton’s record for that year:

    W 27 L 10 ERA 1.97 GS 41 CG 30 IP 346.1 K 310 BB 87 WAR 12.1

    The shift. George Brett would have killed it.

    Strikeout or bust baseball: Soften the baseball

    The problem is that chicks dig the longball.
