With President Trump and due process taking up too much time, the Florida shooter gave plenty of warning to law enforcement that he was trouble. If they wanted to remove his guns, there was plenty of time for due process. For the most part, spree killers give lots of warning signs; but they are often ignored.
It’s not so much the NRA with its contributions that wields power in Washington. It’s the millions of voters who decide their vote primarily based on the candidates’ second amendment positions. The NRA is a vehicle for those voters.
