It’s amazing that Trump’s approval ratings are going down at just the time when it’s becoming very obvious that the economy is taking off and wages are going up!
I think they (the media) managed to tank Trump’s ratings in the pools before the 2016 election, but they got resuscitated (thanks to FBI’s ridiculous handling of the Hillary Clinton email scandal right before the election). I think their doing it again now – Woodward book, anonymous op-ed, perhaps other things (like the McCain funeral – let’s not forget they did not want him to come to the funeral. Playing golf during that time should not be a problem). Anyhow, I think we might see a rebound – not think we will, think we might.
I put a “like” on your comment, HeavyWater, even though I take issue – in one sense, anyhow – that this is amazing. If it happened to another President, yes. But people are paying attention to the kind of person Trump is. I suppose it can be debated whether they should or not. But I think it is beyond contention that they are.
I think Rich was right, that Trump can’t even get the small stuff right. Reagan would almost hold parties to celebrate the great economy. But, with Trump, he has to spend his time belittling his own Attorney General; telling us about this “Witch Hunt” constantly; and holding rallies to bolster his fragile ego.
We have a man/child as President, and we ought to admit it.
You got me there.
It’s no mystery why Trump’s approval ratings are this low with the economy taking off.
