Good show today, Michael. Another valiant effort, but the bubble inside which mainstream media reporters live is simply impervious. Molly Hooper of The Hill. The first clue that she was clueless was her report that she opened with “actually, John McCain was pretty funny.” (Dead giveaway, right? John McCain funny? Don’t make me lau-…um, … I digress.) Then she droned on with a boring recitation of McCain diplospeak. Pretty funny there, Molly.
But better, when you laid out the FACTS, the history of how Bill Clinton survived by lying throughout the entire Whitewater/Monica Lewinsky investigation and playing out the clock, Molly Hooper said that the lesson Trump should learn from Bill Clinton is to tell the truth! Such brilliant people we have in the mainstream media.
But it was a good intro to what a brilliant visionary we have in Hillary Clinton. Your take on her b.s.-laden Colbert show appearance was spot on, but you left out the fact that if she thinks diplomacy is always the only way, why was she head cheerleader for BOMB LIBYA?
And yes, as you’ve pointed out in earlier podcasts, Tom Nichols is all wet about expertise.
Michael and @libertydefender: Michael – good show as usual. Good points LibertyDefender – especially about Clinton and Libya. Also does anyone else think that James Clapper’s name is just one off from what it really should be? He is one of the ‘experts’ who apparently knows little and lies about what he does know. One would think the wire tapping story gets more play but I am not hopeful. CB
Actually–and alas, we didn’t get to it in the podcast–Molly Hooper mentioned during our CBSN hit last night that folks on the Hill from BOTH PARTIES are getting worried about how wiretapping can be used for political purposes. I think it’s starting to dawn on the Democrats “Hey, the guy who controls the wiretapping power now is….DONALD TRUMP!” So maybe some bipartisan reforms?
Keeping my fingers crossed – although that’s a terrible thing to say about freedom, the Constitution, and the First Amendment. Please step up to the plate media and legislature.
