I haven’t followed conservative media very long, and mostly just listen to podcasts while doing other stuff during the day. I’m notoriously bad with names. For months I couldn’t remember which was which between Dennis Prager & Hugh Hewitt. I know now the former is on MSNBC & the latter has a movie with Adam Corolla.
I was stunned to see today’s MitM featured James Delingpole because I was pretty sure I’d heard awful stuff about him – that he’s a British alt-right crackpot. When you said your guest was an Englishman working for Breitbart, that seemed like confirmation. He didn’t sound like a toxic curmudgeon, so after the show I did some googling. Turns out thee fellow I was thinking of is called John Derbyshire.
“NOT a toxic curmudgeon.” High praise, indeed!
Just a small correction, if you don’t mind, contrarian: Dennis Prager is the one with the movie, while Hewitt is the one on MSNBC. So, you meant to write, in your formulation, that the former is the one who had the movie, while the latter was on MSNBC.
Oh- you’re right!
Thanks.
I’ve started watching some of the Prager U videos, which is another way for me to keep in mind how they’re different. :)
I’ve also been getting confused by InstaPpundit and AllahPundit.
BTW, is there any kind of guide n the internet that tells how pundits or sites are different- either in terms of tone or what they cover or taking different stances on issues. A lot of people and news groups seem to cover mostly the same stories in mostly the same way. Is there a significant difference between say PJ Media and the Daily Caller?
Sorry. I can’t help. I know of no such defining tool. I don’t do know much social media, except a bit of Facebook. I even send a few tweets but not many. I dislike the horror of what some people say on the Internet.
I do get updates for some postings on The Daily Caller, but know nothing about PJ Media.
