Michael Graham: The premise that free speech in and of itself was a fundamental good, that appears to have been abandoned the Left—
Alan Dershowitz: It wasn’t abandoned. No, it was never abandoned because they never believed in it. … The hard Left never believed in free speech. They believed in it as a tactic to get their voice across. As soon as they became dominant, they were going to shut down the marketplace of ideas.
Dershowitz is superb, a man of real integrity and a lawyer which seems a complete anachronism. I really enjoyed the interview.
