My own feeling on the matter is that no drug should be illegal on the federal level. I don’t see that anywhere in the Constitution. What states and smaller localities do is their own brief.

@blueyeti I subscribe to the Michael in the Morning podcast. The Oct 27 episode shows up in the iTunes list, but can’t be downloaded for some reason. Even selecting the “Get” button in the iTunes store doesn’t cause it to download.

Thanks for the heads up on this. I’ll follow up, too!

Are you using Windows? Percival is having the same issue in iTunes for Windows with Michael in the Morning and Substandard, which are both hosted on Libsyn.com not on our servers. Are you about to download the episode in the Superfeed?

Still unavailable from itunes. I listened on the player above.

    • I agree 100% – don’t give up the issue of state tax deductions. I saw an ad tonight telling Sen. Donnelly o ‘do the right thing.’
    • A big reason I’m not conservative or libertarian is I don’t care about size of government for it’s own sake. I’m not assuming that lowering corporate tax rates is good as a matter of principle. I’ve been seeing messaging in the liberal media for 2 months now claiming that result will be dividends & higher executive pay. If the GOP wants the working class to believe that their pay will go up, there needs to be more of a concerted effort.
    • Was Halperin big enough to become a national story? Well, he did have his own show. He was the co-host of The Circus.
    • Bush Sr was said to have committed sexual assault and one example of Halperin’s harassment was hand holding. I think normal people and feminists need to have a long conversation about the meaning of sexual assault and sexual harassment. That will not be fun.
    • It’s not really that there’s no such thing as an open secret. It’s just that ‘open’ is an alienans adjective. It contradicts or casts doubt on the modificand. Decoy duck and synthetic leather are other examples.
    • I don’t know about Israel, but during the culd war the CIA and KGB used lasers detecting window vibrations to eavesdrop on foreign embassies without having to put listening devices on what was officially foreign territory.
    • Was the mission to kill Castro organized by Maxwell Smart? “The seashell almost got ‘im. Missed it by that much.”
    • ‘People who want to smoke pot will do it anyway.’ Well, not really. Some people will. A lot of people who will try it if it’s legal just wouldn’t want the risk (even if it’s not that great) and extra hassle of getting something illegally. Like it or not, legalizing something leads to it becoming socially accepted and eventually to people thinking (wrongly, IMHO) that legal prohibition violates their rights.

Oops, I meant “able.” I hope that was clear.

Was there a recent update to iTunes for Windows? Something changed somewhere.

Max, I tried to download from the Superfeed and got the same result. I did download successfully from the Michael in the Morning site. There was a recent iTunes update, but I didn’t put it on. I’m running version 12.6.2.20.

Michael, excellent point regarding the complicity of the women who knew about Halperin’s (or others’) sexual harassment or assaults but did nothing! All the laws and rules in the world won’t make a hill of beans difference if no one takes advantage of them.

I have to disagree about open secrets. I mean technically you’re correct because we used to call them cover ups. The documentary An Open Secret proves that such things exist. At least concerning Hollywood Pedophiles.
