Hoover fellow Michael Auslin, host of the “Pacific Century” podcast, explains the differences between the monarchy in Tokyo and the one in Buckingham Palace.

Interesting podcast.  I was born in Japan so have always had an interest in the country but learned a lot about the royal dynasty.  Just a suggestion – if you had wanted to attract more attention you should have called it “When the Emperor Gave Up His Concubines.”

Fascinating. I listen to Area 45 all of the time, and found this among the best so far.
