Much respect for Congressman Gallagher, (which given that I grant anyone with that title any at all says something) but he’s just wrong about Bob Lafollette. I don’t mind him lauding him as courageous or anything, it’s that he’s merely the second most famous Wisconsin politician. The title goes to Senator Joe McCarthy.
Not that he’s someone to be emulated.
Except for the trick where he’d eat a solid stick of butter before going out drinking so he could imbibe more before getting plastered. That one seems useful.
