The NY Times may be a good paper except for the reporters who have a limited relationship with accuracy and truth…Walter Duranty and Jason Blair come to mind without any research at all. That is at least 2 strikes and those were just off the top of my head…which leads me to take the Times reporting with a thousand or so grains of salt… As I heard on another podcast “distrust but verify”.

I thought some of the infant mortality rate differential between countries was as much attributed to questionable metrics used by differing countries. NR’s Scott Atlas reported on that in 2014.
