I just retook the annual harassment training at work. They specifically said one incident does not constitute a hostile work environment. Unless he’s been spouting off on a regular basis, there’s no pattern of behavior to justify firing.

Yeah, the overheated take-no-prisoners response to the Google memo represents a watershed change in our culture. Charlie and Kevin are exactly right about that. This sort of thing may’ve caused a slight ripple ten years ago — maybe — but never a tidal wave. This is a new phenomenon.

I have had little patience with Conservatives whose reaction to the insanity on the part of the Campus Left has been a cavalier chuckle. “Just wait till these snowflakes get out in the real world,” my Conservative friends would tell me. “Let’s see how Progressive they are then.”

But of course, the snowflakes have been steeped in Left wing ideology from K-12, and then beyond into college and graduate school, and they are taking this indoctrination with them into the workplace.

So they are shaping the “real world” to reflect their own Progressive values — which of course align with the values of the Academy, not to mention Canada, Australia and Western Europe.

And I agree with Kevin when he says there appears to be no end in sight.

Hey gents. I’m not sure if either of you read the comments here. In case you do, though, Kevin, what response would you make to Richard Epstein’s post largely agreeing with Damore’s statistical analysis? It sounded like you thought Damore’s conclusions facile. I’d be interested to hear your thoughts.

Has anything good ever come out of Long Island? Well Grumman aircraft was there. They built fighters and bombers which helped win WWII in the Pacific, the Lunar Module and the F-14 Tomcat.

    It’s been a while, though.

I don’t think anyone rushed onto the beaches at Monte Cassino.
