The Royal Yoko

This week on the United Kingdom’s Fastest Growing and Most Trusted Podcast®, James and Toby discuss (what else?) the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s ‘conscious uncoupling” from the Royal Family and speculate about the source of Meghan’s power over Harry.

Then it’s on to the lack of diversity in the Oscar and BAFTA nominations, their fair-weather Brexit friends and the untimely death of Sir Roger Scruton. (Links to Toby and James’ written tributes can be found here.)

Who else might Meghan call to mind? A princess named Diana, perhaps?

Diana was of a much higher class. That’s not to say I think she was that great, but I think the Wallis Simpson comparison is better for Meghan.

Prince Harry should be made the Governor General of the Bahamas.

I guess Harry didn’t read Shakespear’s “Taming of the Shrew” as part of his education.

He looks weak to me, and will to her, and she will hold him in contempt before they divorce. When one party demands and gets what they want, and especially when alienation is part of the package, it seems a matter of time that one day that prince will look like a commoner to her, and she will still see herself as a princess.

Some of the darker comments around the internet have suggested that this problem could be solved with a drunk chauffer and a tunnel.

Will the BAFTA award show, have musical acts?

I was thinking wouldn’t be hilarious if every act came out and did a cover of “American Woman” – and its not commented on by the hosts at all … Just here is the band and each band plays it over and over again …

Hey, its even a British song…

    I endorse your idea wholeheartedly.
