The Gulag Braggadocio

In the first of two (!) episodes this week, James and Toby argue about who is better prepared for political imprisonment if Jeremy Corbyn wins the election. Both lay down their markers on the results, so place your bets.

In other news they lament the fact that a BBC disc jockey has banned ‘Fairytale of New York’ and salute their friend Greta Thunberg for being named Time’s Person of the Year.

We’ll see you again on Friday after the vote!

If Corbyn starts up the camps, (I think he might very well do so if he could get away with it) come to America as refugees. Hopefully we will have improved our diet by then and kept all our guns.

Second – or maybe that’s third – everyone’s view that this was a laugh out loud podcast. Speaking of diversity in British films, I watched Mary, Queen of Scots and couldn’t believe how many Blacks, Asians, etc were shoehorned into whatever century Scotland. Even John Knox’s congregation had Blacks. At least they actually had a Scotsman playing him! @henrycastaigne: I do hope the Second Amendment keeps us safe here in America.

I rather wish we could sell Hong Kongers all the guns they wanted. Boost American manufacturing and strike a blow for freedom at the same time.

You two must be pleased. I think the results call for a special edition of London Calling!
