Pass It, Prime Minister

Hey, look who’s back! James Delingpole and Toby Young return after a long hiatus (and one mis-recorded show — our bad). You don’t want to miss James’ story about that time he and David Cameron pretended they were in a reggae band. Also, the British view of Bernie Sanders, Trump, income inequality, Justin Trudeau, and more! Listen up.

I had to chuckle when James asked if we’d like to hear a new show with him and Toby as co-hosts – isn’t that what RFD has been for some time now?

Not that I’m complaining, I like the dynamic between those two. Whatever you do though, guys, please do it more often!

Toby & James are always great on RFD, and I would look forward to a separate show hosted by them. I do agree with Breitheamh, though, in missing Milo. Perhaps he could be a regular guest on the new show? By the way, I have to agree with Toby re: James’ outing of the PM doing weed. Bad form, James! Just not done gratuitously. And bad timing, too. It should have been saved for the eventuality that Cameron might some day come out strongly against legalization in the UK. Then you drop the bomb.

I agree with James Delingpole about pot: it’s silly that it’s such a big deal to say a politician smoked pot way back when. It’s pathetic to make it into some sort of scandal, and it was even pathetic that people on the right criticized Obama for smoking pot. We as a society can deal with marijuana in a much more reasonable way than this.

Gah… that photo! Am I looking at a still from some obscure Haircut 100 video?

Nonetheless, yay for the return of RFD.

At one point James mentioned his encounter with gorge jumping at Victoria Falls. Coincidentally, one of the road blocks in this week’s Amazing Race featured a racer from each team going through this encounter, so those of us following this show have a very good picture of what James went through!
