Carnivore Clogs and Latin Plurals

Toby is all shook up as he wraps up the family holiday in Iceland, where unusual seismic activity in the past few days may mean a volcano is about to erupt. Meanwhile, back home on his own island, James and Dick Delingpole go to a hippy festival over the weekend.

Like all good Englishmen, er, Englishpersons  we celebrate the victory of the Lionesses (England’s women’s football team) over Germany this past Sunday and discuss the festival of virtue-signalling that has exploded since. Then James explores his ambition to become a carnivore, although Toby has a concern that an all-meat diet might lead to constipation – but that can be offset by new sponsorship possibilities.

In Culture Corner, Toby finishes up the audio book of Dune and Thirteen Lives, Ron Howard’s new movie about the rescue of the boys football team in Thailand by some eccentric British cavers.

Opening sound this week: The England National Women’s Team crashes their coach’s post match press conference.

By the way, you should all look up James’ brother, Dick Delingpole. He is a fantastic artist.
