Ricochet is the best place on the internet to discuss the issues of the day, either through commenting on posts or writing your own for our active and dynamic community in a fully moderated environment. In addition, the Ricochet Audio Network offers over 50 original podcasts with new episodes released every day.
This week Toby and James talk about Toby’s family holiday in Iceland, where he’s enjoying the spectacular scenery and geological wonders but is freaking out about how eye-wateringly expensive everything is.
In addition, they discuss the shortcomings of the recent BBC documentary ‘Unvaccinated’, whether or not the moon landings actually happened, whether dinosaurs are a hoax, the fact that the World Health Organisation is the favourite to win this year’s Nobel Peace Prize, who they would give it to instead, and the Conservative leadership election – which James is predictably uninterested in.
In Culture Corner, Better Call Saul, The Offer and Dune.
This week’s opening sound is from Unvaccinated, the BBC2 documentary on people who don’t want to get the jab.

Now James supposedly claims the Moon landing was faked, which would require the cooperation of tens of thousands of people — on both sides of the Iron Curtain!
I’d be interested to hear the explanation for why the Soviets went along with a hoax that made them look like pathetic losers.
Or is this all a performance, and we will eventually learn that James is, of course, Covid vaccinated up the kazoo.
James also says dinosaurs are a hoax.
Imagine the staggering amount of labor required to create and bury so many fossils!
N.B.: There is a school of creationism in which God created the world 6000 years ago, with all the dinosaur fossils already in place. This would make dinosaurs a hoax created by God.
I’m amazed at how often these two are on vacation to exotic places. I guess podcasting really pays! They appear to have almost as much free time as public teachers and firemen. Just a couple of regular guys. Must be nice.
I don’t know anything about their personal finances, but Toby is one of the hardest working people I’ve ever worked with professionally.
