With Theresa May’s resignation the Tories are in the midst of a leadership campaign. The winner becomes the next Prime Minister and faces the challenges of Brexit, Jeremy Corbyn, a resurgent Liberal Democrats and Nigel Farage’s Brexit Party. Throw in a little cocaine scandal and fun is had by all, but especially by our hosts James Delingpole and Toby Young.

The bottom line seems to be, with a Parliamentary majority opposed to it, there’s little chance that Brexit will ever happen.

So many of these journalists hurling the stones marked ‘hypocrisy’ are living in greenhouses in the gardens of their glasshouses. Some of it is payback from David Cameron’s pals, but it does look like a deliberate attempt to remove Michael Gove so the final two features at least one Remainer.

A cynical interpretation would be that Gove is being taken out before the final two and that Boris will be attacked once he is the only Brexiteer left; the europhile Tory grandees have been too quiet and they loathe him. It will be an ‘October surprise’ style attempt to destroy Boris, something that would cripple him fatally even if he were to tough it out. He will be faced with withdrawing or splitting the party and the government then falling. Boris is a product of the media-political class, he is not an outsider like President Trump was. He will be expected to withdraw so that Jeremy Hunt can inherit Theresa May’s government and continue her policies. Plus ca change….

Jolly good show as usual – and James Delingpole didn’t seem any crazier than usual.

#Taras what if take-charge kind of new leader (and his backers) made a photocopy of the U.S. Declaration of Independence and simply used a little white-out to swap all the England -specific names for E.U. names?

Yknow, like, filling in ,”Claude Junker”, and “Brussels” where the yanks originally addressed to the British monarch?

Like in a “Brady Bunch” episode: “It sounds crazy but it just might work”

Seriously, though, seems like the continent has profited plenty since WW2 from the U.K. Perhaps, a little credit for saving their bacon via Waterloo, from a dictatorial government is in line as well?

That’s not how they see it though…
