It’s a divisive entry in the Dresden Files: Blood Rites, Jim Butcher’s sixth installment in the series, apparently isn’t for everyone. So did our Blue Team enjoy it? Todd, Kenn, and Megan will get down and dirty in their discussion of the book whose plot revolves around problems on a porn set. Oh yeah, speaking of which: the plot of this book revolves around a porn set, thus the discussion during this episode revolves around a plot that revolves around a porn set. Driving in the car with your kids? Heads up. But if you’re ready to listen, it’ll be a fun discussion.

The first thing heterosexual men notice is how women look, physically. The author commenting on how a woman looks is realistic, not problematic.
I remember the famous scene in Robert Heinlein’s alien invasion novel, The Puppet Masters (1951) in which an attractive woman agent is the first to realize that there is something wrong with the men her team is meeting.
It’s among my least favorite books in the series (perhaps because it’s sandwiched between Death Masks and Dead Beat – 2 fantastic books). But reading it as a male in my 20s, I didn’t notice anything strange about the descriptions.
I enjoyed the episode and want to thank @blueyeti (or whoever is responsible) for bringing this series to Ricochet.
Agreed. I think few readers really have a problem with Harry noticing how women look.
The responsible party would be @jackbutler, who was on a few episodes with us.
Way to go, Jack.
