The Rings of Power is finally here! Now that the most expensive, promoted, anticipated show of the year has arrived, how do we think it’s going after just a couple of episodes? Craig, Sara, Stephanie, and Ryan sit down for a LONG discussion, airing their own loves and grievances, and responding to many of your own questions as well.

Enjoyed the convo and hints about the stranger/meteor man. I was hoping you would spoil and go for the big time internet points!

Question late in it, should you split this into a part 1 and a part two, you missed the obvious answer. Split it into two and release both at the same time.

The thing that really bothered me about the show is, when the elf ranger guy is introduced one of the dirty yokels in the the tavern says to him “can’t you just get over history?” That line, spoken to a black guy, seemed like it might be a little bit of Message bleeding into the story. That annoyed me.

I’m fine with having a black elf. I have no interest in being lectured over a Black Lives Matter elf.

We humans have different races because the human species split up tens of thousands of years ago and moved to different continents, where each group evolved in a different direction, with little intercontinental flow of genes to even things out.

According to Tolkien, do elves have a similar evolutionary history?  Or maybe evolution by natural selection simpy doesn’t exist in Middle Earth.
