Why stop there? We could even maybe support all men…
You know what? Maybe we could go back to that old and positively antiquated Judeo-Christian idea that all human beings should be treated with a certain degree of …
… nah, that’ll never fly.
Look man there wasn’t gonna be a perfect title for the episode. As you’ll hear, there’s fighting within the mommy community on Instagram (and we’re lowkey a little sick of being told we’re “pregnant people” etc.) — so this is an episode to talk about specific issues amongst women. You fellas seem to be getting along just fine IMHO.
:) I’m not criticizing you. I was just making a sarcastic comment about the culture at large. The taking cara babies thing is absolutely ridiculous… And part of a big problem.
As for fellas, though… We’ll do fine, yes, but I have 2 boys and they now have a lot of things being deliberately stacked against them. That’s not the subject of your podcast, of course, but I think it’s all related.
Oh it DEFINITELY is all related—we’ve talked a lot about the challenges of raising boys in this insane culture (lots of us are “boy moms”) on other episodes too but that’s a good point!
We’re living through a Cold Civil War or Cold War Fracturing within our own country.
I think women, especially young women, who don’t work in a profession where conservatism is instant death need to get tougher as Dennis Miller would say about becoming a young stand-up comedian, “You have to develop some rhino skin.”
Great episode and a must listen. We’ve seen the warnings of a growing culture of political hostility towards conservative women. It’s unbelievably helpful to know there’s more who run against the hysteria and use their platform like the LadyBrains. I wish more women (and men) would stand boldly in confidence against partisan shackles of liberal ideology. I hope more women would understand conservatives aren’t defined solely by their political ideology, nor are the cartoonish, closed-minded, bigoted, or brainwashed housewife characters many in Hollywood and the media like to portray us. Thank you for a great conversation!
