Stickers to entertain toddlers: Our 2 year old grandson has demonstrated that the 1,000 dot stickers for $9 from the office supply store are as fascinating as the fancy (and expensive) graphic stickers.

I had a friend whose Dad was a DoD employee and did something involving foreign military sales to the Mideast(this was in the 70s so he was a busy camper) and when he flew (as he did quite regularly) to the Mideast he would pack the contracts, agreements, tech documents, etc in his suitcases and in his brief case would go a clean shirt, underwear, socks and his shaving gear. he had learned to do this when on one trip the airline lost his baggage and for two weeks he traveled from country to country in the Mideast wearing the same clothes…while his baggage was just a country or two behind him, finally being delivered to his home several days after he had returned. Lesson learned. Good podcast!

I finally got around to making a spreadsheet with a list of items I need when I travel. There’s a blank next to each item, which I can fill in with the number of travel days and print out. Not only do I include clothes (And yes, underwear!), but things like my shaving kit, meds, and electronics (and their chargers).

Asking for a friend, how much would you charge to take in my daughters for a few weeks and convince them women can be smart, strong and conservative?

Thanks for the pointers ladies. Our newest grandchild does not like the car seat and will not fall asleep easily in it so right now traveling for my son and daughter-in-law is being kept at a minimum. Hoping the newest will grow out of it – or there may be train travel which the oldest would adore being the typical crazy-for-trains guy.
