    Great podcast as usual!

    However, I do have a funny thing to mention as an aside. A vacuum cleaner does make a good gift if the recipient has asked for one. My wife wanted a particular model as a present one year, and I gave it to her that Christmas – and she loved it!

    However, there is a “full disclosure” I must admit to. My wife’s late brother was one of the top vacuum cleaner experts in the country – both repair, and knowledge on their design. When he died last year, he was lauded on vacuumland.org (https://www.vacuumland.org/). Other web sites dedicated to vacuum cleaners and those who collect vintage machines mentioned him, and one org got a ton of his vintage collector vacuums from the storeroom we rented for him (now closed: https://www.vacuummuseum.com/). I remember looking at this one vacuum from the early 1900s. It had a bellows that sucked in dirt as you pushed it along, not unlike lawn mowers that cut grass as you pushed. The silly thing is it’s ironic how what seems silly to most people (like vacuum cleaners) can have a cult following.

    For the record – I am not enamored with vacuum cleaners, and I think Kelly can testify my wife and I never brought them up in conversation when we had coffee in Denver. Hehe . . .

    I’m now down the rabbit hole in vacuum-land. This is actually quite fascinating.
