How to (Actually) Do What You Love

If you’re not doing what you love, with people you love, you are wasting your time. Kelly Maher and Emily Zanotti have a lot of experience jumping into the deep end to pursue their passions and build lives they love—but can anyone do that? Forget the starving artist stereotypes (Emily is a WWII historian and Kelly is a farmer) and tuck into this uplifting episode.

Great podcast, as usual! Two WW2 items for Emily:

There’s a book called Shot From the Sky by Cathryn Prince. It’s about how the Swiss shot down allied planes during World War 2, but gave the Germans a pass. In addition, our POWs in Switzerland were treated very nicely unless they escaped. If recaptured, they were transferred to different Swiss POW camps every bit as brutal as those run by the Germans. Interesting reading.

I know a guy whose mom was a female navigator in WW2. She also became a navigation instructor, then worked in Intelligence. He may have some information which could be useful in your book (if it’s the type of stuff you’re looking for). Send me a Ricochet PM if you want to get in touch with him.
