Thank you so much for this ladies. You mirror many of my thoughts on the pandemic and the reaction. I have truly been surprised by how many people apparently think (1) “I’m going to live forever”?? and (2) it’s the government’s job to keep me alive or safe. Is the loss of religious faith so great in this country? Is it something else I am completely missing. I don’t know. Very sad. Your podcast, ironically, cheered me up as I think there are more of US than THEM but, unfortunately, them is in charge right now.
Is it Halloween already? Ugh.
You haven’t been slurping up/smelling/and generally imbibing all things pumpkin? At least it keeps your mind off the election for a little while.
Yes, exactly! Thank you, MK & Bethany! You guys are exactly correct about Halloween. I’ve been saying much the same myself lately, whenever it comes up. My town hasn’t put out any “official” word re: trick or treating yet, but told my kids (2 teen girls) that I don’t care WHAT the city goverment says, we ARE handing out candy. Enough is enough already! If necessary, I think we all should ignore any local prohibitions on trick or treating and just do it. I’m ready to push back!
