    HIIT and adaptogens. Rhodiola. Eleuthero. Saint John’s Wort if your medication list permits. Beets for a safe nitric oxide boost.

    Try one or more than one adaptogen. Follow with a few minutes or more of high intensity training. Enjoy.

    A kettlebell or two. A jumprope. A treadmill or elliptical trainer.

    I think I really would have problems if my town were as locked down as it sounds like other places are. We have never had any restrictions (legal or social) on getting out to walk, to run, to bicycle. 

    Although I am an introvert, the lack of contact with real humans still gets me down, and I have realized that real life interaction with real humans is key to maintaining my own mental balance. I have discovered that if all I rely on is electronic interaction, I can get a quite distorted view of my own situation. But, when I interact in real life, I can see myself with better and more balanced eyes. (A few of my social groups have started meeting in outdoor settings. Last week the men of the choir cooked hot dogs in the church parking lot.)

    Sure, why not add a dog!

    Our next door neighbors added a puppy (Labrador) to their existing two large dogs while all three of their college aged children were also confined to their house, which house was intended to be their empty nest house and is not set up to house 5 adults. The wife/mother said to me, “What were we thinking?! But it’s so much fun.”

    Our daughter-in-law is a lover of large dogs. Our son liked large dogs, but has become more of a fan since meeting his now wife. She particularly likes poodle mixes (it sounds like your puppy is a poodle mix of some type). She says if the mix gets the poodle hair there is less shedding (in contrast to their Husky), and she thinks the poodle brings some extra brains to the mix. Their most recent addition (about a year ago) is a poodle mixed with Burmese Mountain Dog (Bernedoodle).

    It takes guts to talk about one’s problems in a public forum. Way to go, Emily!

    I have to agree with the thing about masks. I’m tired of seeing people wear them. Your face reveals your humanity. To hide one’s face is to make you less human, which is why terrorists wear them and Muslim women are forced to. I want to see faces.

    Sure, there was that helpful girl at Staples yesterday who helped me with a purchase. I could tell she was smiling by the way the exposed part of her face was all scrunched up. And no, my fly wasn’t open.
