I was thinking about Grandaddy for some reason a few days ago. I got into them after sampling their Sophtware Slump album in 2000, which was my favorite of theirs. I had no idea they reformed.
Great point about how Obama made many conservatives lose their minds. Instead of responding intelligently, Republicans nominated Trump.
I really wish the never trumpers would tell us something we dont know. At least I wont have to listen to anymore of the whining come Tuesday.
Now that’s funny.
Sadly, I bailed on this podcast. Those who are vocal in their disdain of Trump need to use sustained reason. The part where you replay Trump’s “Keep it Cool” comments and suggest it is the inner conversation of some serial killer or the insane trying to keep it together, is more bizarrely revelatory of your disdain that his stability. Did you conveniently forget that he was at a podium with a mic speaking to a large audience instead?
I’m at least 98% Never Trump in my sentiments, but if you’re going to make that case, I suggest you please sit at Jonah Goldberg’s feet for a bit and figure out how to make a logical one.
I was actually a little surprised by Trump’s apparently self-deprecatory “Keep it Cool.” bit. He seemed to actually understand his reputation as unstable, and was willing to joke about it, which is actually a point in his favor. I voted for McMullin, but this bit actually made me a little more comfortable with Trump.
@thequestion I agree. As I listened to the clip, I heard him mocking his detractors and probably all the members of his inner team that seized his devices and forced a Forgot Password reset of his Twitter account on the evening of Friday Oct 30th. That and in contrast how in the very same clip it included his comments regarding Clinton being “unhinged”.
I too found it oddly refreshing as it’s not the thin-skinned, narcissist that we’ve come to know.
