Vice President Pence announces Space Force while Facebook and YouTube ban Alex Jones. Jon and Stephen discuss!
My first thought on hearing this was we are going to have to get new armed forces songs medlies. It is mostly an administrative reorganization of existing tasks under a separate command that can concentrate on its operation medium- sea, land, air, space are the ops areas for the services. I think it would avoid diluting mission statements, budget submissions, and spending priorities. Congress would have better control over appropriations for space ops. Air Force would lose a mission but be able to concentrate on air ops. We already launch missiles and rockets, monitor space, and operate sensors, communication, and navigation satellites. The hard part would be determining who gets what strategic and theater assets.
Jon, I chuckled at your comment. So true. I actually was part of a reorganization and tasked an artistic airman with creating the new patch. He researched the requirements, drafted ideas, and I submitted it. I will post it if I can find it.
I’d be a little more impressed with your all’s commentary about President Trump, if you all had been maybe half as successful as he’s been in life. As it is, while you all are definitely more successful than me, listening to you call Trump stupid is like listening to a former High School quarterback complaining about how Tom Brady did the day before.
Found it. Picture isn’t clear. Beautiful lion on original. http://gallery.usafpatches.com/displayimage.php?album=182&pid=10705
The patch for my sub was … suboptimal.
Looks like a patch for a California agriculture worker union.
Listening to the guys, I tried to remember if, when I was young, stupid, and called myself a libertarian, was I this puerile and unfunny?
Ummmmmm … probably!
Stephen: “Let’s see… I’ve been to every state in the Midwest, but I haven’t been to Ohio.”
Um, then, no.
Great analysis on the Alex Jones stuff. The Tom Woods interview of Michale Malice is really good, too, for those that are interested.
We went to every state in a year and found great things in every one. (Even Delaware, though we’re still not sure it’s really a state.)
