While DC dithers, the real action is happening in the states. I attended the States and Nation Policy Summit this week, a conference organized by the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC). The smartest local and national politicians and policymakers from Florida to Alaska shared how they’re improving the lives of their constituents. Here’s the lineup:

Re: Scott Walker. Parents don’t necessarily know best, even about their own kids; there are a lot of irresponsible parents, and just plain dumb parents. But that said, they do still carry the responsibility. It would be better if they are convinced, not coerced.
P.S. I will never download and save The Conservatarians, because just for the purpose of the “bumper music” they use stereo which makes the files twice as big as other podcasts.

I’m a digital pack rat. Including audiobooks close to a gigabyte in size.
Considering how cheap storage is these days, I don’t stress much over file sizes. Conservatarians episodes are a drop in the storage bucket. At ten bucks for 128Gb, I’m not running out of space anytime soon until 8K video takes off.
Depends how many and how long you save. I have some podcasts going back to the late 1990s. “At ten bucks for 128GB” (B is for bytes, b is bits) I gather you save things on usb “sticks.” But those aren’t “online”/always available. I have a separate 1tb drive just for podcasts, THOUSANDS of them. (Which would be a LOT of USB sticks, and they used to be pretty small. I got a 16 MEG one as a promo item once, back when that was the biggest you could get, which I gave to a friend.) It isn’t full yet, but someday it will be. And it just isn’t worth saving a Conservatarians when I can save TWO other podcasts in the same space.
