I don’t read books as much as I used to because I spend so much time listening to Ricochet podcasts.
Running commentary…
If you like that intro, check out The Donnas, especially “Spend The Night”.
Is there anything more boring than listening to two people talk about their favorite TV shows, ones you personally can’t stand? When this happens to me at work, I know it’s time to take a long break.
Reading classic books is very good for your brain. A few years ago I decided to read everything Dickens wrote because I do worry about brain cell deterioration and you have to pay attention when reading his books, which I hope helps those cells stay alive. It is taking me forever because I am also trying to keep up with my other reading, but I have two Dickens novels left. I’m glad he’s dead, because when I’m done, I’m all done with his books.
Agreed. Nunes is acting the way Congressional Committees are supposed to act – investigate! He didn’t tell the Democrats first because he didn’t want those traitors running to the NYT and MSM with the information.
Did you just say “All Trump tweets are false”?
I agree on this constant call by someone saying they have “proof” of “Russian Interference” – and you read the whole article, and five months later, there is still not one bit of actual evidence the Russians did anything besides watch and laugh their heads off.
Paul Manafort is Fake News. Please don’t call it a “brewing scandal”.
Miller, you -should- be a fan of Sean Spicer. Nobody has handled the MSM better than him.
Spend less time on the Russians, please. If there is ever any evidence produced, we can talk about it. But there isn’t, and there never will be, so stop.
Hillary absolutely transmitted Classified documents through her unsecure non-gov email account, a felony. How’d you miss that?
On Malibu: Like all members of the Leftist Leadership, these folks know that they are ‘better’ than these Illegals, so it doesn’t bother them to say it out loud. They just cannot see what they are, deep inside – 21st Century Plantation Owners.
Wow, I wish you had spent half as much time on Illegal Immigration as you did on Planned Parenthood. I’ll let Congress know that you’ve already decided they aren’t going to de-fund Planned Parenthood. Where did you get that information?
Thanks for a good podcast. Sorry I was nit-picky, but I was surprised how much I disagreed. But then again, we’re not the Left, in lock-step on everything. We are free to disagree!
I love A Tale of Two Cities and I like A Christmas Carol, but good gawd why to Great Expectations???
I read Alcott a lot, but technically they are not classics and they are a bit childish. And Secret Garden and Little Princess were also read recently. I have been reading Emma by JA for 20 years and have yet to finish it…
I read A Christmas Carol every December. It was one year while reading it that I thought of this idea.
Great Expectations is, I feel, his greatest novel, but I had to read it three times to realize it. Hated it as a teenager. Appreciated it in my 30’s. and now I thoroughly loved it when I read it three years ago.
I am slogging through the tough ones now. The last two finished were “Dombey & Son” and “Hard Times”. That was a difficult pair of books.
Now I am on “Bleak House” and I will finish with his unfinished “The Mystery of Edwin Drood”.
“I don’t have HBO.”
Good!!!
