The Media vs. a Field of Rakes

The Conservatarians discuss a truly horrible week for the media. It began with portraying Hamas terrorists as loveable peace activists, followed by praising the humanity of the hyperviolent MS-13. Are CNN and MSNBC going to help blow the midterms for the Democrats?

The intro/outro music is “The Woodpile” by Frightened Rabbit. Jon’s song of the week is “Leave Me Alone” by New Order. Stephen’s song of the week is “Death Dream” by Frightened Rabbit (rest in peace). To listen to all the music featured on The Conservatarians, subscribe to our Spotify playlist!

Show was quite good today. Glad I listened to it. Even the music was good.

I agree, this was the best podcast of this series, and even the music was good. I’ll have to look up New Order.

I really liked the concept of a field of rhetorical rakes. One thing that struck me from the reviewing the Russia story from the past year, is that everything that Trump had been saying for the past 2 years has been shown to be roughly true. (at least on his role in a Russia conspiracy) Everything that the media has been Trumpeting gets quietly corrected as being either lies, factually incorrect or irrelevant. So when will there be an investigation of the investigation, and when will the cabal of conspirators be indicted?

This is simply proof that the vast rake-wing conspiracy is real.

    Wake up, sheeple!

A pretty good point on the media now actively searching for media-worthy school shooting victims, even before the last bullet casing has stopped rolling around the 2nd floor hallway at the next inevitable shooting.

Money can be made off it, so off they go – those champions of truth, seekers of revenue, and if they get to kick conservatives along the way, it’s hard to hold the drool from seeping out from the corners of their mouths. Don’t blame them. They are there to help. They are….The Media.

What kills me is they’re the most vocal anti-capitalist group out there, but they descend like vultures when a carcass is identified, and eat as much as they can before a bigger vulture shoves them out of the way.

If the goal is money – and it is – then it’s much easier to ignore facts at the front end to whip up clicks and views, and then, a week or two or twelve later, print the retraction, in a tiny, undisclosed location (where Joe Biden also keeps his hairpieces), and no one will see it, but they can claim due diligence.

Sorry Ian, but I’d take New Order over Joy Division any day.
