Marx Bae’s Green New Steal

The Conservatarians ponder the Washington Post’s $5.2 million Super Bowl ad, Trump’s second State of the Union address, Warren’s diminishing 2020 chances, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s insane Green New Deal proposal.

Stephen’s song of the week is “Varieties of Exile” by Beirut and Jon’s song of the week is “Desire” by Josefine Ohrn & The Liberation. The outro song is “Plains” by Deerhunter. To listen to all the music featured on The Conservatarians, subscribe to our all-new 2019 Spotify playlist!

So when is Elizabeth Warren’s disbarment? She lied on her membership form to the Texas Bar, shouldnt she be disbarred?

Also, how can she prove why she was hired? Harvard claimed her as a Native American faculty, (as other employers have) she committed affirmative action fraud – stealing jobs from real minorities for her own advancement. Has she seen “Soul Man”?

I completely agree with this. Both she and Harvard committed crimes. That’s what I heard. Leftism is a comprehensive racket.

I was looking at the picture of AOC above and suddenly realized that I couldn’t tell if that was a smug smile or she was trying to hold in a fart. Any thoughts?

I think it looks like its too late – the fart has escaped.

You know the old joke about Queen Elizabeth and the King of Spain…

They’re riding in one of those fabulous ornate horse drawn carriages, trotting down a parade route, when suddenly one of the horses lets go of a massive fart.

The Queen is very embarrassed – and profusely apologizes to the king… Who says “Its ok, I thought it was the horse” …

At least she isn’t grinning maniacally with those big chompers of hers. Scary.

I also don’t get why it is so cute for Robert Francis O’Rourke to call himself “Beto” to ingratiate himself with clueless Hispanic voters. But don’t go wearing a sombrero.  My daughter tried to explain that it is not cultural appropriation unless you do it to deride or make fun of a culture, but I don’t think the young lady was making fun of any culture in her cheongsam. The rules are very fluid it seems.

That’s exactly right. We aren’t going to invade China and India. They put up 25 coal powered electricity plants every single year. Everyone in Africa needs coal powered electricity.

If the left cared they would actually be working on compact nuclear reactors and a decentralized grid. You could put that anywhere.

Yes, but if there was such a thing, as a compact nuclear reactor. Would you want it in these unstable countries in Africa where it could be taken by extremists like Boko Haram?

I think the best thing that could happen for Africa – Economically and Environmentally – is political stability. I am not suggesting we would re-colonize Africa with a million troops and impose a new stable society, but they’ll have to build their own rule of law and social stability. There will be quite a lot of bloodshed until they find it.
