I am glad to see this finally happen, even if it took two years.
I think this needs editing, at least another comma, unless the claim is really that the Jesus and Mary Chain wrote it in honor of Col. Schlichter.
Better form would be “This week, in honor of Col. Schlichter, Jon recommends “Blues from a Gun,” written by The Jesus and Mary Chain.”
That whole album, Automatic, is great. Although Schlichter would only have been a Captain by then.
Very good, but they talk as if the Chinese are declining so fast they are no longer our primary and a very dangerous external threat. I think that is mistaken. The Chinese may have only the remainder of Biden’s presidency to exercise their power against us, but they already control Africa and with the fall of Colombia, all of South America except Brazil where they are moving very rapidly. Then it’s just us and we’re going to sit around a wait for 2024? The key is this years elections, if we lose them we have to begin to prepare noisily to separate states and pieces of states to form a new Republic. If they win the Presidency we’ll have no choice and have to be prepared to do so, including lining up military leaders and capacity to leave Washington and join a new Republic. Sounds crazy, because it is, but I don’t think many folks understand where the democrats will take us and what that means.

Agree. Also Sri Lanka will probably be completely dependent upon China and the Solomon Islands recently made the security agreement with China. They are moving fast. China may run into problems because of demographics, economy, etc but they still can cause a lot of problems.
