The Conservatarians, aka Jon Gabriel and Stephen Miller, chat about fireworks, mock the media’s freak-out over Brexit, and wonder if Obama will set down his selfie stick long enough to notice that the world’s falling apart.

Intro and outro music is “Atom” by British Sea Power. Stephen’s music pick this week is “Life of Pause” by Wild Nothing. Jon’s music pick is “Fever Dreaming” by No Age. To listen to all the music featured on The Conservatarians, subscribe to our Spotify playlist!

Did someone say 80’s resurgence and guilty pleasures?  Nothing says “80’s” and “guilty” like anime music.

Here’s the theme from an old series from the 80’s featuring synth drums and keyboard lead “guitar.”  Enjoy!

The bands that I listen to record at a frequency that the unhip simply can’t hear.

I dig it. So do dogs.

(That may be the first time I’ve written — or read — “dig it” this millennium. Can you dig it?)

You cannot possibly imagine – but with luck, someday you will understand – how incomprehensible and at the same time amusing your discussion of contemporary music is to one mired in his mid-60s. I realize how hopelessly out of touch I am with the contemporary music scene, but I still fervently hope that someday you will look back on your ramblings with embarassment! Cheers!
