Enjoyable and informative…BUT…like, you know, like if I were, you know ,like, 15 I ,you know, may ,like, not be so like, irked by , like, you know, some of the banter….you know? And ….Hell or High Water and Jeff Bridges were the best….The Light Between Oceans is one of the most AFFECTIVE movies I’ve seem in years….It needs some mention somewhere—No? And if you liked ONCE and compared LaLa to it, (a bit) , now I’ll see LaLa —but don’t care for either lead.
Sing Street is my favorite of the year, though I’ve seen none of the end-of-year Oscar bait, Rogue One, or Arrival.
I listened to this while driving – I distinctly remember Jon saying that the lists would be included in the show notes. Don’t make me skip back through it please
Great pod for a run in the rain today, gentlemen. Thank you.
If you really want to see some film making, check out Incendies from Denis Villeneuve. That he went on to make such an interesting and quiet movie like Enemy, and then Arrival, well, I expect an unnecessary sequel like Blade Runner to exceed expectations. It probably will not follow a standard Hollywood narrative. Hope I’m not wrong.
