The King welcomes writer, podcaster, and goal-achiever Joel J. Miller. He co-hosts the entertaining and informative podcast ‘Bad’ Books of the Bible, which covers all those rarely read books commonly called “apocryphal” or “deuterocanonical.”
Joel is also the chief product officer of Full Focus and created Miller’s Book Review. He’s written for Reason, the Washington Post, American Spectator, National Review Online, FoxNews.com, and RealClearReligion. Jon and Joel talk about balancing faith and politics, the allure of libertarianism, and how best to engage with the culture.
Then Jon talks about immigration hypocrisy, the 2024 presidential campaign, the No True Scotsperson fallacy … and a new cat.

Hello King,
I have not heard this yet but I do recommend the “Bad Books of the Bible” podcast.
Everyone should know more Tobit.
Thanks
People need to take a closer look at Mitch Daniels and his tenure at Purdue. He did a lot to move classes online, which Covid showed is not a good way to learn, and this probably more than anything allowed him to keep from raising tuition. He also was very pro-lockdown during Covid, even voting to cancel Big Ten football games to keep people safe, or something. My most vivid recent memory of him was his appearance on a podcast familiar to this site (https://ricochet.com/guests/mitch-daniels/) during the peak of Covid mania where Peter was gushing to hear that good ol’ Mitch was reading a book on the Spanish Flu, because you know, Covid and the Spanish Flu were pretty much exactly the same. Good riddance to Mitch. Too bad the other Mitch wouldn’t also bow out of politics.
