Regarding oil company profits being the highest ever: If the oil company sells refined gas for cost plus 5%, then they’re going to tend to make way more if they’re selling a gallon for $4 than they were selling it for $2. And the cost side was driven in no small part by President Silver Alert policy. Drive up the cost, cause the higher margin, threaten the companies that did that to….
