It’s a very special HWX with Brian Ward and Paul Happe reconvening to discuss the critical issues of our times. Topics addressed include:

Our favorite memories of the Anthony Scaramucci era. Who was this clown and where did he come from? We have all the details. Plus a musical tribute to his departure, Nobody Does It Better than Scaramucci.

The Congressional failure to repeal Obamacare is further analyzed, with the heart rending excuses offered by Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell. Were the Republicans ever serious about this effort? We have the answer.

Also, by HWX listener request, Paul Happe auditions a potential new theme song for Fake News.

What were we drinking during the podcast? Blue Moon Mango Wheat and All Day IPA by Founders Brewing.

I have been very supportive of McConnell and Ryan over the years, but I’m getting tired of the nonsense from the hill. I had either missed or blocked out the memory of Ryan’s comments in the clip that Brian and Paul played. I had the same reaction as Brian. It’s amazing that Paul Ryan has such a loser mentality even though the GOP had the majority in the house since 2011 and the majority in the senate since 2015.

That segment on the various excuses for not repealing Obamacare was hilarious. It even managed to assuage my anger toward Susan Collins, John McCain, and Lisa Murkowski…for a few minutes.

    Since you’re taking requests…

    (With apologies to Ronnie Milsap)

    Here on Ricochet

    Happe comes along

    With lyrics and a tune

It was almost like a song

    Whether it’s Fake News

    Or The Monster Mash

    In The Bubble too

It was almost like a song

    Hinderaker’s gone

    But parody’s alright

And it’s almost like a song

But it’s much too sad to write

At first, I thought Paul should get someone else to sing the Fake News song too. However, the more I listened, the more I became in awe of his dynamic two-note range . . .
