Our friend, Rush Limbaugh, used to read George Washington’s Thanksgiving Proclamation of 1789 every year on the air. It was always so inspiring. While it’s great to eat food, watch football, spend time with family, and go around the table to say what we’re thankful for, he also believed Thanksgiving was an opportunity to thank God for the greatness of this Nation, and realize how blessed we are to have our liberty, protected by The Constitution. We are blessed indeed to be citizens of the United State of America.  Given that Rush is no longer with us, we wanted to carry on his tradition of reading President Washington’s Thanksgiving Proclamation of 1789.

This was beautiful.  I miss Rush too.  May he rest in peace.
