First of all, Blue Yeti, LIKE. I think there are fewer comments, etc, because there is no way to like a podcast as opposed to a post.
It will be interesting to see if the President just goes for some actions on immigration but I can understand that the DOJ may be saying one fight at a time or lets keep what we are doing under the radar for now.
Mike, Todd (,and Jessica), the first subject re “No Match” was one of the more brilliant ideas to elegantly right a huge societal wrong, however, I still wasn’t going to write a comment until you guys started blowing my mind with UBI discussion .
The straight-talk I heard coming from Todd was so scandalous I thought I should tell him a have a good place to hide out if The Bureaucracy Squad tries to silence him. lol. Seriously, I appreciated the way Mike was able to present the prog-lefts utopian viewpoints without mocking that group. It just made me very pleased to hear the stuff I had to learn back when high-school had civics and US Government/US History class for American teenagers. Even though most of my brain was occupied with girls, sci-fi, and sports, that 5 percent left for rational thought could appreciate what an amazing system the founding fathers had hammered-out to give this experiment the best chance it could have in a fallen world where the bad guys are still out there, yknow? Thanks for a great show! Very thought-provoking!
P.S.Reminded me of a hilarious argument between a DC Comics/Elseworlds written/drawn by Frank Miller in DK2 where The Green Arrow and The Question (one is left, one is right) having it out while holding evil at bay. A fav DC scene.
you lost me there EtCarter…what was the “brilliant idea to elegantly right a huge societal wrong” to which you refer?
Thanks for the positive vibes (and please write us a review on iTunes if the possible :-)!!!
I like the Charles Murray strategy. UBI as a replacement for the current welfare leviathan sounds like an improvement.
I wonder what the numbers are: How many dollars per year per US resident would it take to solve the debt problem in ten years if UBI were to replace all our welfare systems?
