Welcome to the Harvard Lunch Club Political Podcast for April 4, 2017, it’s the Ripping Families Apart Podcast, brought to you this week by SimpliSafe. Start protecting your home the smart way using the award winning system that is revolutionizing the industry by going to SimpliSafe.com. And we are brought to you by Harry’s. I use it. I love it. Nuff said?
This week, there’s a bombing in Saint Pete, we’re about to nuke Jong Un, there’s a Senate filibuster that’s about to change the tune (there’s a Scout Troup short a child, Kruschev’s due at Idelwild…). Etc. but *we* gentle listeners, are going to talk about panic…as in panic attack…as in the L.A. Times has this time really lost it. And the left can’t take it anymore. Talk to your liberal friends – or find some liberals to befriend and talk to them. They *believe* that Trump is on the threshold of impeachment. Trump’s tweets prove it. It is fascinating and fun to watch the meltdown. (What is a meltdown called when it is pereptual?).
Then, speaking of fun, Susan Rice is in deep, deep poo-poo:
Susan, looks like I am losin’
I’m losin’ my mind (losin’ my mind)
I’m wastin’ my time
Susan do you have to be confusin’
I ask myself why you’re sayin’ goodbye
Hot off the wires, blogger Mike Cernovich has uncovered the culprit who rounded up incidental intelligence on the Trump campaign (since July) and spread it around the Obama Administration for all to see. It might not be illegal, but it is going to be a lot of fun watching her being cross-examined by Trey Gowdy or the like…if and when she ever returns to the United States.
We will have our shower thoughts as usual and this week’s hidden gem is by the Counting Crows, the 2002 hit Hard Candy . If, for some unfathomable reason you actually *like* the song My Way, I heartily suggest that you close your podcast app before we get to it.

Oh Christ, that photo. Does it now just show up in google searches for Brown People? I’ve seen it for the past 2 years in every cons. piece about immigration. Usually about Mexicans. That’s MS – 13 — probably the most dangerous street gang on Earth. Originated in Los Angeles as Salvadorian immigrants displaced by their Civil War of the 80s (we backed the Military coup) — as protection for Salvadorians from Mexican and Black gangs.
Then Crack happened.
GOP Govs: Deukmajin and Wilson rounded-up black and hispanics, letting prison or ICE sort ’em out — creating a massive deficit. And did sending them back where they came from work ?Most joined the paramilitary we backed & dealt arms and drugs they imported from the US. 5 years later they came back as the most violently insane gang America has known (except the 19th century Irish gang 40 Thieves). Proliferated all through Cen. Am., they set-up with Drug Cartels
As for the FMLN, the Salvadorian socialist party that was democratically elected but ousted by a Military coup we backed in a proxy war with the USSR (remember when we hated those guys?) — they won a few years ago and after sweeping corruption reform and transparency, El Salvador is the most stable country in Cen. Am.
You’re right on Impeachment. Senate couldn’t even close out Johnson. So lets ask: WTF is Trump doing cutting the Coast Guard to build the wall? That’s going to triple Cartel traffic.
1 – Why the ratchet only goes one way, I believe it was LBJ who said ‘ Give them everything , make the Republicans take it away’ , that’s been working for the left for 50 years
2 – In a short time Susan Rice will be universally hailed as half whistle blower half Rosa Parks who risked jail to bring attention to the evils of the Trump administration. In the next Democrat administration she will be awarded the Medal of Freedom.
I think the photo is a compelling ad for Simpli-Safe.
yuk, yuk!!
Just a photo of a couple of high school freshmen.
Great podcast, as always. Loved your vignette about Japan, Mike. I lived there myself, long ago.
If Obama had sons, they’d look like them.
Not that I care, as I left the Left, running and screaming because of PC-nonsense — but an important note for Conservatives: You guys shoot yourself in the foot “trying” to lure PoC, especially Black, voters. @quakevoter ‘s joke was funny; Bishop, yours would elicit the ubiquitous name-calling of Racist.
Not saying you are, but just calling it like I see it.
If the Obamas had a son, he’d look about as threatening as Raj from What’s Happening! Neither Malia nor Sasha look like they are turning out like Snoop from The Wire, either.
Thanks Mike! Maybe we can exchange stories about the Orient sometime.
That’d be great!
