Well, for a smart, opinionated, irascible liberal guest with a Harvard pedigree and a Boston mailing address you can’t do much better than Barney Frank.
“Let’s get ready to rummmmmmble”
Hmmm….now there’s an idea. Wonder if we can tempt him…..
Anyone who wants a great backgrounder on Steve Bannon’s role in creating the wave that Trump rode should read Devil’s Bargain.
Joshua Green is remarkably fair and the book is well researched. The two dominant themes in the Trump campaign — immigration enforcement and Clinton corruption — were being created by Bannon while Trump was applying for H1Bs and H2Bs and donating money to Hill and Bill.
Green would make a fine guest. Very entertaining with nuanced and balanced takes.
Who provided the money to fund Peter Schweizer? Bannon.
Who directed the Mercer’s money to resurrect the Breitbart site after a near death experience (and a tragic death) and then fund Trump’s targeted campaign? Bannon. (The Mercer storylines are a hoot.)
Trump’s campaign received its first establishment shot in the arm when a certain senator from Alabama endorsed him before Super Tuesday. Who prevailed on Sessions to make the endorsement? Bannon.
Who won the battle over the replacement for that same AL senator? Bannon.
It is risible that Bannon receives such withering and condescending putdowns from the MSNBC/Commentary news service when he bootstrapped and directed the biggest upset in American political history. Guys who pretend to possess vast political nous but couldn’t elect a county coroner in northern Virginia.
Come to think about it, forget the liberals. Invite the real opponent of the GOP on the show: Bannon.
If we could get Bannon we’d take him in a heartbeat!
