D-M grind
Workin’ on the line
Turnin’ a wrench, ain’t doin’ so fine
Just pickin’ at the food in the chow hall line
Got knots in my belly
Got fumes in my head
Lifers gonna work me until I’m dead.
Oh the sun shines bright on my old D-M home
Just puttin’ in my twelve hours a day
Oh the sun shines bright on my old D-M home
Lord, please keep them lifers away.
I hear those planes a-comin’
Come flyin’ ’round the bend
And I ain’t seen the grass grow
Since I don’t know when
Well I’m stuck at D-M Airbase
Where time keeps draggin’ on
And those planes keep a-comin’
On down the ramp and gone!
Well, if they freed me from this Air Force
If that DD form was mine
I think I might move
A little further down the line
Away from D-M Airbase
That’s where I want to be
Where those lifers keep a-bitchin’
And that’s what tortures me.
There’s two kinds of people in this Air Force.
Chock-kickers and ****-lickers
I don’t see any yellow on your boots.
Bustin’ out windows
And kickin’ down doors
Drinkin’ bad whiskey
And sleepin’ with whores.
My daddy was a junkie
And my mama was score
But I’m a meaner ************
Because I crew the F-4.
Liked this podcast much. Kinda random coming across it, but will gravitate towards it in the future.
Glenn–Love the ditty and thanks very much for taking the time to listen!
