That Jackie Gleason music…is that depressing is it just me? And will Sensor be the new TracII?

Wait a minute, TracII is available on the web!

No Victrola, but the medicine cabinet description made me smile. My grandfather’s cabinet, exactly.

My grandparents, born in 1908, were mid and had a stereo, in a cabinet with speakers and a deep shelf for vinyl records.

Their vinyl of Isaac Stern plying violin concertos influenced me to become a musician.

I’m pretty sure that the razor blade slot in the back of the medicine cabinet really was supposed to let the blades drop behind the wall, in the space between the studs. Perhaps the drywall (or plaster) had been removed in the room behind the mirror.

And I’m pretty sure this was done so that small razor-sharp things wouldn’t be mixed in the with the normal bathroom trash.

There are at least ten Jackie Gleason albums available on modern 21st century iTunes. Let the good times roll!

I love the recording of the “guy telling stories and laughing at his own jokes” spliced in at the end. I’d never heard that before.

I’ve been more of an Evertt’s man myself as they serve root beer brewed by Drekker. Anyway, walked in for a haircut but they were booked. Walking back to my vehicle, I looked up and saw the sign for the Graver. Good place. Probably not the same barber.
